Privacy policy
Last updated 31 October 2026
This policy covers the Indexkeeper Chrome extension and the website indexkeeper.tuper.app. Indexkeeper is made by tuper (tuper.app). Contact: indexkeeper@tuper.app.
Short version
Your Google Search Console data never leaves your browser. The extension talks to Google directly, stores results in Chrome's local extension storage on your computer, and sends nothing about your sites or pages to us or anyone else.
What the extension accesses
- Google Search Console, read-only (OAuth scope
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly), after you press "Sign in with Google". Used only to list your verified properties and to run the URL Inspection API on the URLs you choose to monitor. The extension cannot change anything in Search Console. - Sitemaps you import: when you import a sitemap, Chrome asks your permission to read that one site, and the extension downloads the sitemap file to collect URLs.
- The current tab's address, only when you press "Add this page" in the popup.
Where your data goes
Requests go from your browser straight to Google (searchconsole.googleapis.com, accounts.google.com). Your list of URLs, the inspection results, their history and your Google access token are kept in chrome.storage.local on your computer. tuper runs no server that receives this data, and we have no way to see it. Removing a property deletes its data; uninstalling the extension deletes all of it. The access token expires after about an hour; "Sign out" revokes it with Google.
We do not sell, share or transfer Google user data, do not use it for advertising, do not use it to train AI models, and no person at tuper reads it.
Google API Services User Data Policy
Indexkeeper's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Pro licence
If you buy Pro, the extension sends your licence key (and an activation ID) to Polar (polar.sh), our payment provider and merchant of record, to activate it and to re-check it about once a week. No Search Console data is ever sent. Polar processes your payment under its own privacy policy; we receive your email, subscription status and licence key, not your card number.
The website
indexkeeper.tuper.app uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts. If you join the waitlist we store your email address, the time and the plan you were interested in, and use them only to email you about Indexkeeper. Reply to any email or write to us to be removed, and we delete the address.
